Vaughn Ventus SLR3 Pro Carbon Senior Goalie Chest & Arm Protector
New for 2021 Vaughn Custom Sports introduces the newest iteration in the Ventus line, the Ventus SLR3 Pro Carbon Senior Goalie Chest & Arm Protector; designed to provide a lightweight and protective chest protector with the range of motion modern goalies crave.
Starting with the shoulders, the Vaughn Ventus SLR3 Pro Carbon features large, flat-style shoulder floaters with cushion padding that feature super high-density foams with composite reinforcement for increased blocker power to provide coverage and a wide profile to present square to the shooter and cover more net, as well as deadening puck impacts.
Moving to the middle on the chest of the SLR3 Pro Carbon, the sternum pad is made with pure composite material to provide central protection on the unit. The lower body has HD foam protection and carbon inserts, and the multi-flex design is designed to be worn several ways, both tucked and untucked in the pants.
Next on the arms, Vaughn has improved multiple aspects on the SLR3 Pro Carbon, while still keeping the popular mesh material for mobility and break-in time. The SLR3 features tapered forearm padding and HD and carbon reinforced arm floaters, as well as a reinforced bicep for impact resistance. Vaughn has redesigned the adjustable portion of the arms to allow for a perfect fit in length for any goalie.
Around to the elbows the SLR3 offers Extended arm padding both up and down to cover the bicep and forearm around a four-point adjustable elbow pad to offer a customizable fit and allows the goalie to keep their arms closer to the body to reduce openings in the 6 and 7 holes between the arms and body. A molded inner and outer mid-elbow protection surrounds the arm to offer even more protection.
Around to the back of the unit the back plate features a very protective back spine pad with HD foam insert coupled with a redesigned dual back strap system for greater adjustability in the unit, letting the goalie really dial it in to fit.
In comparison to the Vaughn SLR3 Pro Senior, the SLR3 Pro Carbon features a domestic build with carbon material and higher quality construction.
